Rip View Swim Event

Date:

Tuesday 2 January 2024 between 0600hrs and 1800hrs.

Details:

Mariners are advised of an open water swim event at Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff during the times nominated above.

A Set Aside will exist around the competition area, which is occurring in an area shoreward of the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 38° 16.497’S, 144° 39.163’E 3. 38° 16.695’S, 144° 37.378’E

2. 38° 16.509’S, 144° 38.337’E 4. 38° 17.202’S, 144° 37.290’E

The competition course will be marked by buoys and patrolled by event marshals.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulation 11(1)(2) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
