Details:

Mariners are advised of the following sailing events in Western Port Phillip as part of the Geelong Festival of Sails. The racecourses will be marked and monitored by official vessels.
1. Sailing Passage Race from Melbourne to Geelong 
A large number of yachts are expected through Western Port Phillip on Friday 25 January between 0900hrs and 2100hrs. The race will commence at Point Gellibrand, Williamstown, approximate location 37°53.300’S, 144°54.000’E (WGS84). The finish line is approximately 400 metres North-East of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club Marina, Corio Bay, approximate location 38°08.226’S, 144°21.948’E (WGS84).
2. Sailing Races in Corio Bay and Outer Harbour
Multiple sailing races are occurring in Corio Bay and Outer Harbour from Saturday 26 January to Sunday 27 January between 1000hrs and 2100hrs with a large number of vessels expected.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event and observe signage and directions from event officials.
