Kananook Creek - Maintenance Dredging at Creek Entrance

Date:

Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March 2024, weather permitting.

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works to be undertaken by
Frankston City Council in the vicinity of Kananook Creek entrance, at
approximate location 38˚08.739’S, 145˚06.965’E (WGS84).
Dredging works will be carried out by long reach excavator. Dredged
material will be deposited for beach renourishment at the adjacent
Frankston beach. The creek entrance remains open while works are
underway with vessel traffic management in place.
Plant and equipment will be stored ashore when not in use during the
works.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the
works, and to observe signage and instructions from the dredging
contractor.
