Eastern Beach – Ironman Swim Event

Date:

0700hrs Friday 22 March to 1100hrs Sunday 24 March 2024

Details:

Mariners are advised of the Ironman 70.3 triathlon swim event at Eastern Beach, Geelong during the times nominated above. Mobilisation and set up will begin on Friday 22 March with the main event occurring on Sunday 24 March 2024.

A set aside will exist around the competition area and races will occur off the beach in a triangular area bounded by the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 38°08.7913’S, 144°22.1888’E 2. 38°08.3617’S, 144°22.2638’E

3. 38°08.7200’S, 144°22.4537’E

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event and observe signage and directions from event officials.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants, officials and Parks Victoria officers.
