Mentone to Black Rock

Paddle Craft Event

Sunday 19 October 2025 from 0830hrs until 1530hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of an open water paddle craft event in the vicinity of Mentone Beach and Black Rock during the times nominated above.

A set aside will exist around the competition area, which will begin at Mentone, at approximate locations (WGS84): 37⁰59.483’S, 145⁰03.483’E and conclude at Black Rock, at approximate locations (WGS84): 37⁰58.266’S, 145⁰0.333’E. The event course follows the coast through Beaumaris Bay and past Ricketts Point and Quiet Corner as shown on the map below.

The event course will be delineated by marker buoys and patrolled by event marshals.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event and observe signage and directions from event officials.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2025. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event officials and Parks Victoria officers.
