Eastern Beach – Open Water Swim Event

Date:

Saturday 20 December 2025 between 0830hrs and 1330hrs.

Details:

Mariners are advised of the Victorian Open Water Championships swim event at Eastern Beach, Geelong during the times nominated above. A set aside will exist around the competition area and races will occur in the vicinity of the Eastern Beach Promenade Swimming Enclosure (Baths), as marked by buoys at the following approximate locations (WGS84): 1. 38° 8.748'S 144° 22.346'E 3. 38° 8.609'S 144° 22.626'E 2. 38° 8.679'S 144° 22.642'E 4. 38° 8.673'S 144° 22.328'E Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area where swimmers will be.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulation 11(1)(2) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2025. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
