Life Saving Carnival

Date:

Sunday 18 January 2026 between 0830hrs and 1600hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of a life saving carnival event at Mount Martha Beach during the times nominated above. The carnival is occurring in an area adjacent to the Mount Martha Life Saving Club, and bounded by the shore and the following approximate locations (WGS84): 1. 38° 15.920'S, 145° 0.640'E 2. 38° 15.800'S 145° 0.810'E A Set Aside will be established around the competition are, which will be delineated by marker buoys and patrolled by event marshals. Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event. 

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2025. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
