Clifton Springs Boat Harbour Entrance Sandbar

Details:

Mariners are advised of a sandbar that has formed in the vicinity of Clifton Springs Boat Harbour Entrance, which has reduced navigable depth and fairway through the entrance. The sandbar is attached to the northern breakwater and is extending to the southeast and into the entrance at approximate location (WGS84): 38°09.268’S, 144°33.207’E (WGS84), as shown in map 1 below. Dredging works will be undertaken as soon as practicable. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of Clifton Springs Boat Harbour and to monitor tides and local conditions before entry or departure.
