San Remo

San Remo Bridge – Major Works – Updated Information

Monday 7 September 2026 until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of works occurring beneath the San Remo Bridge, at approximate location: 38°31.100’S, 145°21.850’E (WGS84).
The works will be undertaken by SRG Global via a scaffold system and pontoons secured from the bridge structure.
Works will begin on the San Remo Side of the bridge on the date noted above and will extend outwards as works progress. Works are under way on the Newhaven side of the bridge and will extend outward as works progress.
The works will continue in several stages, and the spans available for navigation beneath the bridge will change as the works progress. At least one of the centre three spans will remain open throughout the works as noted by traffic management signed on the bridge itself. An exclusion zone established under the Marine Safety Act 2010 will be in force for the times that navigation is impacted throughout the works.
The details of exclusion zones, the spans open for navigation and the air draft available will be communicated by further notice.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of San Remo Bridge.
