Banksia Park West Lawns sits to the west end of Banksia Park and if arriving by car, is accessed from a carpark at the end of the loop road or by foot, also from the south entry trail close to the Yarra River adjacent to Banksia St. As an extension to Banksia Park Picnic Area, the area is perfect for cyclists, joggers and walkers who can take advantage of the sealed trail that hugs the hairpin bend of the Yarra River, around the edge of the site.

There are no bins. Please take all rubbish away for recycling or disposal.

Due to flood damage, the canoe launching ramp at Westerfolds Park has been closed until further notice.


Birrarung Park Playground Closed

Due to significant age and ongoing safety concerns, the playground at Birrarung Park will be removed and the area returned to grassed parkland.

The nearest playground is located at Banksia Park, Bulleen

Shallow Waters - River Channel Downstream of Charles Grimes Bridge

The channel immediately downstream of Charles Grimes Bridge in the vicinity of Yarra's Edge Marina has reduced water depth as a result of sediment build up. Minimum depth at low tide may be less than 2m. Large vessels should navigate the area with caution.
