Control operations (ground shooting) targeting deer are undertaken in this area.  The Park will remain open to visitors during operations.

Caves re-open following Boxing Day floods

Buchan Caves Reserve re-opened to the public on 26 March 2024, after being closed for safety reasons following  the Boxing Day flash floods in 2023.  Visitors should observe signs in the reserve and stay out of any signposted and restricted areas. 
 
The following areas, services and facilities are open:
Cave tours – on a modified schedule  
Visitor centre and shop 
Buchan Pool 
Campground 
Cave House accommodation 
Day visitor areas 
 
The following sites remain closed until further notice:
The Quanamaroo Cultural Trail
Spring Creek Trail
