NOTICE OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXCLUSION ZONE
Parks
Victoria as the declared waterway manager for Yarra River upstream of port
waters of the Port of Melbourne hereby gives notice under
section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act
2010 (Vic) that all persons and vessels not registered to take part in the City of Melbourne 2025 New Year’s
Eve Fireworks are prohibited from entering and remaining in the following waters.
Waters of the Yarra River – within the middle of Victoria Harbour, an area 360 degrees around the
fireworks barge extending 120 metres from the barge towards the outer
edge of d’Albora Marina and the outer edge of New Quay West Marina, as marked by 6 exclusion
zone buoys.
The
exclusion zone will be in effect from 9.15pm to 9.45pm on 31 December 2025, and
again from 11.45pm 31 December 2025 to 12.15am on 1 January 2026.
