NOTICE OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXCLUSION ZONE
Parks
Victoria as the declared waterway manager for Maribyrnong River upstream of
Shepherd Bridge on Footscray Road, hereby gives notice under section 208(2) of
the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) that
all persons and vessels not registered to take part in the 2026 National Canoe
Polo Summer Series Event #4 are prohibited from entering and remaining in the
following waters.
Waters
of Maribyrnong River – beginning approx. 40m upstream of the Essendon Canoe
Club extending approx. 24m into the river from the Southern bank to 37°46'13.5"S
144°53'57.4"E, continuing approx. 50m downstream to 37°46'15.2"S
144°53'54.0"E, as delineated by buoys.
Approx. 30m transit area on the Northern half of the river
channel is open to vessel traffic.
The exclusion zone will be in effect from 7:00am to 4:00pm on Friday 13, Saturday 14
and Sunday 15 February 2026.
