Temporary access closure for invasive species control program (6pm to 5am)
Parks Victoria will be conducting an invasive species control program from early evening to early morning from Sunday 22nd to Thursday 26th March across Mount Buangor State Park. To ensure visitor and contractor safety, temporary track closures will be in place throughout the program during the hours of 6pm - 5am. These closures will be indicated by on-site signage.
Mount Buangor State Park - Many areas in the park are still closed due to fire impacts. The Ferntree Waterfall day visitor site and road to this site will occasionally close throughout the week from 6pm - 5am and open during the day for visitors to enjoy.

Howqua Hills Historic AreaAdvice for park visitors; Centenary Park Shelter
Parks Victoria will be completing operations to demolish and remove the unsafe visitor shelter at Centenary Park in coming weeks. Minimal impacts to visitor access are expected during operations, however we request that park visitors observe all warning signage and exclusion areas during works. Parks Victoria will engage with the community on any proposals to replace this infrastructure.

Mount Arapiles-Tooan State ParkAlgae Bloom Lindsay River
A slow moving algae bloom is currently affecting sections of the Lindsay River from Lake Walla Walla camping area on the Lindsay River through to the Junction of the Lindsay River and Mullaroo Creek. Visitors should observe and follow directions on signage and are warned not to swim in or have any direct contact with the water, and to prevent their pets from drinking or having any contact with the water. We will continue monitoring water quality.
