Queenscliff Harbour - Fireworks Displays

21:15hrs Tuesday 31 December 2019 until 00:10hrs Wednesday 1 January 2020.

Details:

Mariners are advised of two fireworks displays at approximately 21:30hrs and 00:00hrs on the date noted above.

A set aside area for the fireworks display extends in a 150m radius from the head of the Peninsula Princess Ferry located off the Queenscliff Ferry Dock at approximate location 38° 15.868S, 144° 40.346E (WGS84).

The set aside area is put in place to ensure public safety in the local port, as per WorkSafe requirements regarding the safety fallout areas for this fireworks display. Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event officials and Parks Victoria officers.
