Portsea to Jarman Oval Point Nepean – Swim Event - Portsea Swim Classic

Saturday 18 January 2020 between 08:00hrs and 14:00hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of multiple swim events between Portsea and Point Nepean during the times noted above.

The 1.5km swim course starts onshore at Fisherman’s Beach, Portsea at approximate location 38°19.038’S, 144°42.382’E (WGS84) extends in an arc towards the finishing point at Jarman Oval, Point Nepean at approximate location 38°18.630’S, 144°41.450’E (WGS84).

The 2.5km swim course starts adjacent to the Portsea Camp Oval at approximate location 38°19.080’S, 144°43.043’E (WGS84) before traversing outside of the Portsea Pier then follows the 1.5km course to the finishing point at Jarman Oval, Point Nepean at approximate location 38°18.630’S, 144°41.450’E (WGS84).

Marker buoys will be in place to delineate the course. Marshal vessels will be in place at several locations assisting with the management and safety of the event.

Mariners are advised to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the swim

courses during the times of the events and observe signage and directions

from event officials.
