Eastern Beach - Triathlon Event - Ironman 70.3

Friday 21 February 2020 until 2100hrs Sunday 23 February 2020

Details:

Mariners are advised of a triathlon event and associated activities including the set up and removal of lit marker buoys during the dates and times nominated above.

A swim course will be delineated by pink and orange marker buoys adjacent to Eastern Beach and the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. The buoys will be lit with a white flashing light and will progressively be set out between Friday 21 February and 0700hrs Sunday 23 February.

Starting at 0700hrs Sunday 21 February 2020, the swim follows a triangular course from Eastern Beach at approximate location 38°8.7606’S, 144°22.1405’E and continues North to a pink buoy at approximately 38°08’24.0’E, 144°22’09.6’S then southeast to a pink buoy at approximately 38°08’42.1’E, 144°22’7.5’S then west to the final pink buoy at approximately 38°08’45.1’E, 144°22’15.7’S then return to shore near the start point. All buoys will be removed by 2100hrs on Sunday 23 February 2020.

Mariners are advised to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the

events and observe signage and directions from event officials.
