Kerferd Road Pier - Dredging and Middle Park Beach Renourishment Works

Date:

1 August 2020 until 31 October 2020.

Details:

Mariners are advised of dredging works to be undertaken by the City of Port Phillip offshore from Kerferd Road Pier, Albert Park at approximate location 37°51.445'S, 144°56.870’E (WGS84). 
Dredging will be undertaken by a vessel-mounted cutter suction pump. Dredged material will be deposited for beach renourishment at Middle Park Beach.
The pipeline extends 1km from the dredge zone to the beach and is marked at 100m intervals with unlit A-5 orange buoys. On-water plant, equipment or potential hazards to navigation will be marked with yellow flashing lights from sunset to sunrise in accordance with IALA standards. 

Mariners to contact the dredge on VHF channel 14 if vessel users require assistance

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution when within the vicinity of the Dredge Equipment.
