Shellfish Reef Seeding Works

Wednesday 2 December 2020 until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of shellfish reef seeding works occurring at multiple locations within Port Phillip Bay by the Victorian Fisheries Authority and The Nature Conservancy.
The reefs will be seeded with blue mussels and Australian flat oysters at the locations outlined in the attachment.

The works will be undertaken by divers with the use of a Workboat and Dive Support Vessel. When divers are operating, a white and blue flag (Alpha) will be displayed in accordance with international standards.
All plant, machinery and hazards to navigation will be marked as per IALA standards.

Mariners are advised to keep well clear of the vessels and to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the works.
