Sorrento to Portsea – Pier to Perignon Swim Event

Date:

Sunday 21 February 2021 between 0700hrs and 1400hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of a swim event occurring between Sorrento and Portsea during the times noted above.

The 4km near-shore swim is scheduled to start at 1200hrs from the foreshore west of Sorrento Pier, at approximate location: 38°20.168’S, 144°44.678’E (WGS84), and finish east of Portsea Pier at approximate location 38°19.121’s, 144°42.928’S (WGS84).

The competition area will be delineated by 4 large red and white inflatable buoys, and 3 inflatable orange guide buoys. Buoys will be deployed at approximately 0700hrs and removed after 1400hrs. The course will be patrolled by event marshals.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event and observe signage and directions from event officials.
