Elwood Beach - Corporate Triathlon Event

Date:

Sunday 28 February 2021 between 0830hrs and 1300hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of a swim event at Elwood Beach during the times nominated above.

Multiple swim races will occur off the beach in the area between the shore and the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 37°53.380’S, 144°58.870’E 2. 37°53.450’S, 144°58.890’E

An exclusion zone will exist around the competition area, which will be delineated by marker buoys and patrolled by event marshals.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the event and observe signage and directions from event officials.

Relevant Law:

The exclusion zone has been established under section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act 2010. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
