Werribee River Entrance – Maintenance Dredging

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging operations occurring at the entrance to Werribee River at approximate location 37°58.500’S, 144°41.319’E (WGS84). Works will also include the removal of sand from around the jetty which will be closed during this time. Dredging works will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge. Dredged material will be deposited on the adjacent beach, north of the River entrance.
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
Mariners are reminded to navigate within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the dredging works.
