Beach Renourishment Works

Details:

Mariners are advised of beach renourishment works to be undertaken by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), at Edward Street Beach and Half Moon Bay, within the vicinity north of Black Rock Boat Ramp. The renourishment and associated works will be carried out by work boats and a cutter suction dredge, working in an area offshore at approximate location 37°58.000’S, 145°00.200’E (WGS84). Dredged sand will be pumped on to the beaches and spread with an excavator. On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the dredging works.
