Brighton Harbour – Marina Access Maintenance Dredging Works

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works at the north entrance to Brighton Marina within Brighton Harbour, at approximate location (WGS84): 3754.299’S, 14458.831’E.
A cutter suction dredge will remove sand from around the end of the breakwater between the marina entrance and the fairway. A submerged pipeline will transport sand to a near shore disposal site north east of the harbour
Access through the marina entrance may be restricted at times during these works.
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the works, pass the dredge only when safe to do so on the double diamond side.
