Rye Pier - Upgrade Works and Temporary Closure

Tuesday 1 February 2022 until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of upgrade works to Rye Pier, at approximate location 38°22.062’S, 144°49.356’E (WGS84).

The pier will be closed for the duration of the works. A set-aside has been established around the works area. Entry is prohibited except for Parks Victoria officers and individuals involved in the works

The works will be undertaken with barges and work boats. On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the works.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulation 10 of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015 Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the individuals involved in the works and Parks Victoria officers.
