St Kilda Beach – Ironman 70.3 Triathlon Swim Event

Date:

Thursday 17 March 2022 until Sunday 20 March 1730hrs.

Details:

Mariners are advised of a triathlon swim event at St Kilda Beach during the

times nominated above. Mobilisation and set up will begin on Thursday 17

March with the main event occurring on Sunday 20 March 2022.

Multiple swim races will occur off the beach in a rectangular set aside area,

bounded by the shore and the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 37°51.900’S, 144°57.900’E 2. 37°52.200’S, 144°58.1400’E

The competition area will be delineated by marker buoys and patrolled by event

marshals.

Mariners are advised to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the event and observe

signs and directions from event officials.

Relevant Law:

A set aside has been established under Regulation 11(1)(2) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers on Sunday 20th March 2022 from 600hrs to 1030hrs.
