Maintenance Dredging at St Kilda Marina Entrance Channel

Tuesday 17 May 2022 until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works at the St Kilda Marina entrance channel, at approximate location: 37° 52.302’S, 144° 58.394’E (WGS84).
Mobilisation will begin on Tuesday 17 May 2022 with dredging works to begin in the days following.
Dredging works will be undertaken with the use of a cutter suction dredge. Dredged material will be transported via pipeline to the adjacent beach to the north of Shakespeare Grove drain for beach renourishment.
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of St Kilda Marina.
