Boat Ramp Channel Lateral Mark Piles Removed for Upgrade

Mariners are advised that the 4x Port and Starboard Lateral Mark Piles, marking the channel to Point Richards Boat Ramp have been permanently removed to facilitate a new groyne construction and future channel alignment.

The piles which have been removed were located at the following approximate locations:

The boat ramp remains closed for the duration of the groyne construction works. A new channel will be marked by navigation aids specified in a future Notice before the facility is reopened.

Mariners are advised of the temporary boat ramp closure, and to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the works.
