Steampacket Quay – Floating Christmas Tree Barge Installation

Thursday 27 October 2022 weather dependant, until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of a temporary barge installation to support the Geelong Floating Christmas Tree, to be moored at Steampacket Quay at approximate location 38°08.598S, 144°21.755E (WGS84), adjacent to Cunningham Pier.
Submerged cables and moorings supporting the barge will be marked with
buoys. The floating Christmas tree will be lit from dusk to dawn.
The weather contingency dates for the installation are Friday 28 October, Saturday 29 October and Monday 31 October 2022. The installation will occur on these dates if the weather is unsuitable on Thursday 27 October 2022.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of
Steampacket Quay.
