Port Melbourne Beach – Victorian Coastal Rowing Challenge

Date:

Sunday 11 December 2022 between 0500hrs and 1500hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of a rowing event off Port Melbourne Beach during the times nominated above.

Multiple rowing events will occur in a set-aside area bounded by the shore and the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 37°50.7563’S, 144°56.1073’E 2. 37°50.8050’S, 144°56.2052’E

The competition area will be delineated by marker buoys and will be patrolled by event marshals.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within in the vicinity of the competition area during the times of the event and to observe signage and directions from event marshals.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event officials and Parks Victoria officers.
