Date:

Thursday 29 December 2022 between 0700hrs and 1800hrs.

Details:

Mariners are advised of an open water swim event at Point Lonsdale during the times nominated above.

The competition is occurring in the area shoreward of the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 38° 16.497’S, 144° 39.163’E 3. 38° 16.695’S, 144° 37.378’E

2. 38° 16.509’S, 144° 38.337’E 4. 38° 17.202’S, 144° 37.290’E

The competition course will be marked by buoys and the event exclusion zone will be patrolled by event marshals.

Relevant Law:

The exclusion zone has been established under section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act 2010. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers. Mariners are prohibited from entering the exclusion zone area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the event and observe signs and directions from event officials.
