Steampacket Quay – Floating Christmas Tree Barge Demobilisation

Monday 9th January 2023 weather dependant

Details:

Mariners are advised that the temporary barge installation to support the Geelong Floating Christmas Tree, moored at Steampacket Quay at approximate location 38°08.598S, 144°21.755E (WGS84), adjacent to Cunningham Pier is being demobilised.
A submerged mooring anchor will remain in situ adjacent to Steampacket Quay in shallow water, as mentioned in NTM 262(T)-19.
The weather contingency dates for the demobilisation are Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 January 2023.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of
Steampacket Quay and the barge while it is under tow.
