Portarlington Harbour - Maintenance Dredging




Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works within Portarlington Harbour at approximate location 38˚06.721’S, 144˚39.174’E (WGS84) and at the outer berth, west of Portarlington Pier at approximate location 38˚06.664’S, 144˚39.116’E (WGS84).
Works will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge. A submerged pipeline will transport sand to an onshore disposal site west of the harbour.
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the dredging works and be aware of possible floating or submerged objects such as pipelines.
