Werribee River Entrance – Width Restored to Navigation Channel

Details:

Mariners are advised that the sand build up causing a narrowing of the Werribee River entrance navigation channel at approximate location: 37°58.393’S, 144°41.206’E (WGS84), has been removed and channel width is restored.
 
Sand has also been removed from around the Werribee South Jetty.
 
Further dredging is currently being undertaken along the navigation channel.
 
Mariners are reminded to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the dredge and pass on the double black diamond side of the vessel when safe to do so.
