Kananook Creek - Maintenance Dredging at Creek Entrance

Monday 24 to Friday 28 July 2023, weather permitting

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works to be undertaken by Frankston City Council, in the vicinity of Kananook Creek entrance, at approximate location 38˚08.739’S, 145˚06.965’E (WGS84)

Dredging works will be carried out by long reach excavators, moxy trucks will also be used if required. Dredged material will be deposited for beach renourishment at the adjacent Frankston beach. The creek entrance remains open while works are underway with vessel traffic management in place.

Plant and equipment will be stored ashore when not in use during the works. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the works. Observe signage and follow instructions from the dredging contractor.
