West Channel

West Channel Port Lateral Beacon #2 Remediation Works Extended

Date:

04 September to 30 September 2023, weather permitting.

Details:

Mariners are advised that the West Channel beacon remediation works have been

extended at Port Lateral Beacon #2, lit with characteristics Fl(2)R.4s, at

approximate location (WGS84): 38°15.616’S, 144°42.417’E.

The beacon remediation will include underwater works and is occurring only at

Beacon #2 as shown on the map below. The previously advised beacon remediation

works at beacons 3-13 have been completed.

Mariners are advised of a temporary public exclusion area of 100 metres with no

wake, around each beacon when works are under way.

Mariners are advised to navigate with minimum wash and exercise caution

within the vicinity of the works.
