Steampacket Quay – Floating Christmas Tree Barge Installation

Friday 27 October 2023 weather dependant, until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of a temporary barge installation to support the Geelong Floating Christmas Tree, to be moored at Steampacket Quay at approximate location 38°08.598S, 144°21.755E (WGS84), adjacent to Cunningham Pier.
Submerged cables and moorings supporting the barge will be marked with
buoys. The floating Christmas tree will be lit from dusk to dawn.
The weather contingency dates for the installation are Monday 30 October and Tuesday 31 October 2023. The installation will occur on these dates if the weather is unsuitable on Friday 27 October 2023.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of
Steampacket Quay.
