Steampacket Quay – Floating Christmas Tree Fireworks Event

Date:

Saturday 11 November 2023 between 1900hrs and 2130hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of a Fireworks event at Steampacket Quay, adjacent to Cunningham Pier during the times noted above.

A set aside area for the event will be established at a 200m radius around the floating Christmas Tree barge, moored at the following approximate location (WGS84): 38° 08.600’S, 144°21.750’E.

The set aside area is established to ensure public safety in the local port as per WorkSafe requirements.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Regulation 11(2)(b) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding event officials, a moored Port Phillip Ferries Vessel and Parks Victoria officers.
