Cowes Jetty - Fireworks Display

Sunday 31 December 2023 from 1800hrs until 2230hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of a fireworks display from Cowes jetty during the times nominated above.

A set aside for the fireworks display extends in a radius of 145 metres around the head of Cowes Jetty, at approximate location 38° 26.772’S, 145°14.388’E (WGS84).

The set aside area is put in place to ensure public safety in the local port, as per WorkSafe requirements regarding the safety fallout areas for this fireworks display.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area.

Relevant Law:

The set aside area has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event officials and Parks Victoria officers.
