Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Trial Operations

Tuesday 09 January until Friday 19 January 2024

Details:

Mariners are advised of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) trial operations in the vicinity of Aspendale between the dates noted above.

The trial will occur in a rectangular area off Aspendale, bounded by the following approximate locations (WGS84): 1. 38° 3.003’S, 145° 1.509’E 3. 38° 4.444’S, 145° 2.383’E 2. 38° 4.036’S, 145° 3.522’E 4. 38° 2.603’S, 145° 2.627’E

The trial will involve multiple dives of the AUV, which will be accompanied by a support vessel. The AUV will display dive flag Alpha above the waterline on its antenna.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the trial.
