Williamstown Open Water Swim Events

Date:

Saturday 2 March to Sunday 3 March 2024

Details:

Mariners are advised of an open water swim event at the waters off Williamstown Beach during the times nominated above. Mobilisation and set up will begin on Saturday 2 March with the main event occurring on Sunday 3 March 2024.

A set aside will exist around the competition area, which is bounded by the shore and the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 37°52.327'S, 144°53.557'E 2. 37°52.333'S, 144°52.957'E

The event course will be delineated by marker buoys and patrolled by event marshals.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area where swimmers will be.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
