Mordialloc Creek Maintenance Dredging

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging works within Mordialloc Creek to be undertaken by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).
The works will occur between the rail bridge at approximate location 38˚00.617’S, 145˚05.399’E (WGS84) and the seaward extent of lambert island, including Lambert Island Channel approximate location 38˚00.587’S, 145˚05.180’E (WGS84).
Dredging works will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge, with dredged material removed from the creek by pipeline to a dewatering area at Attenborough Park.
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
Mariners are advised to navigate within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the dredging works.
