San Remo Bridge – Navigation Direction Lights Installed Incorrectly

Details:

Mariners are advised of works currently occurring beneath the San Remo Bridge, 38°31.113’S, 145°21.862’E (WGS84) where scaffolding is impacting on air draught.

Temporary navigation lights have been installed to facilitate safe vessel access.

Please note that the lights on the northern side have been installed on the wrong side. The lights will be rectified on 11 May 2024.

Mariners transiting in a southerly direction towards San Remo please be aware that the navigation lights are installed incorrectly and to navigate with caution whilst in the vicinity of San Remo Bridge.

Relevant Law:

Notice controlling navigation under 211(1)(a) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic). Gazette No. S 211, 30 April 2024. All vessel masters are prohibited from navigation under bridge spans that contravene traffic management established on site at that time.
