Altona Pier –Scheduled maintenance and Temporary Closures

Details:

Mariners are advised of scheduled maintenance works to Altona Pier at approximate location 37°52.374’S, 144°49.812’E (WGS84). The entire pier and berthing on the lower landing will be closed Monday-Friday for the duration of the works. Pier and berthing will remain accessible over the weekends when maintenance work is not underway.
 
The closure will be defined by on-site signage. Entry is prohibited except for Parks Victoria officers and individuals involved in the works.
 
The works will involve replacement of the stair treads at the lower landing and under-deck maintenance undertaken by work boats, as well as on-deck activities.
                                                
The works are planned to be completed by 9 August 2024, subject to weather conditions.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the works.
