St Leonards Boat Ramp– Temporary Closure for demolition and rebuild

Details:

Mariners are advised of the demolition and rebuild of St Leonards boat ramp at approximate location 38° 10.7883’S, 144° 42.965’E (WGS84). The entire boat ramp and will be closed for the duration of the works.
 
A set-aside area has been established approximately 30 metres around the boat ramp and will be defined by on-site signage and four special mark exclusion buoys at the following approximate locations:
 
·      Buoy 1: 38°10.7817'S, 144°42.9883'E
·      Buoy 2: 38°10.795’S, 144°43.015’E
·      Buoy 3: 38°10.8083’S,144°43.005’E
·      Buoy 4: 38°10.805’S, 144°42.9717’E
 
Entry is prohibited except for Parks Victoria officers and individuals involved in the works.

The works will be undertaken with barges and work boats. On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards.
                                                
The works are planned to be completed by 11 November 2024.

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set-aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the works.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulation 10 of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the individuals involved in the works and Parks Victoria officers.
