San Remo Bridge – Stage 3 Reduced Air Draught and Navigation Direction for Pipeline Works

Date:

From mid-September 2024 until further notice

Details:

Mariners are advised of works occurring beneath the San Remo Bridge, 38°31.113’S, 145°21.862’E (WGS84), during the above dates.

The works will be undertaken via a scaffold system secured from the bridge structure. The scaffold will temporarily reduce the air draught under the bridge by approximately 2.5 metres.
 
Safe navigable span will move from span 11 to span 9 from mid-September, as per Figure 1 below to enable works on the bridge above.
 
All vessels must only transit through the span delineated with lit lateral shapes.

Relevant Law:

Notice controlling navigation under 211(1)(a) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic). Gazette No. S 211, 30 April 2024. All vessel masters are prohibited from navigation under bridge spans with reduced air draught during the period of this notice.
