Friday 3 January 2025 between 0600hrs and 1800hrs

Details:

Mariners are advised of an open water swim event at Point Lonsdale during the times nominated above.
 
The competition is occurring in the area shoreward of the following approximate locations (WGS84):
 
1.       38° 16.497’S, 144° 39.163’E                         3. 38° 16.695’S, 144° 37.378’E
2.       38° 16.509’S, 144° 38.337’E                          4. 38° 17.202’S, 144° 37.290’E
 
The competition course will be marked by buoys and the event set aside will be patrolled by event marshals.
 
Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area where swimmers will be.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulation 11(1)(2) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
