Queenscliff Harbour – New Years Eve Fireworks Display

Tuesday 31 December 2024, from 2110hrs to 2135hrs, and 2345hrs to 0005

Details:

Mariners are advised of a Fireworks Display at Queenscliff between the times noted above.

A 360° set aside area for the fireworks display extends in a 100m radius from the firing point on a small ferry berthed adjacent to Swan Island foreshore and the Marina entry area at approximate location (WGS84): 38°15.868'S, 144°40.346'E, shown in the map below.
 
This set aside area is put in place to ensure public safety in the local port as per Work Safe requirements, delineating the safety fallout areas for this fireworks display.
 
Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area. 

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
