Eastern Beach – Ironman Swim Event

Date:

0700hrs Friday 21 March 2025 to 1100hrs Sunday 23 March 2025

Details:

Mariners are advised of a triathlon swim event at Eastern Beach, Geelong during the times nominated above. Mobilisation and set up will begin on Friday 21 March with the main event occurring on Sunday 23 March 2025.

A set aside will exist around the competition area and races will occur off the beach bounded by the following approximate locations (WGS84):

1. 38°08.7913’S, 144°22.1888’E 2. 38°08.3617’S, 144°22.2638’E

3. 38°08.7200’S, 144°22.4537’E

Mariners are prohibited from entering the set aside area during the date and times nominated above and are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the declared set aside area where swimmers will be, within the harbour and outside of the harbour.

Relevant Law:

The set aside has been established under Regulation 11(1)(2) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015. Entry is prohibited to all persons excluding the event participants and Parks Victoria officers.
