Aids to Navigation Works

Monday 12 May to Friday 30 June 2025

Details:

Mariners are advised of maintenance and other works occurring on aids to

navigation within northern Port Phillip waters. Works will occur at various locations

around Sandringham, Ricketts Point, Middle Brighton, St Kilda and Campbells Cove.

The works will be conducted via barge and support vessel and include the

temporary removal of top marks and ladders for remediation, installation of piles

and removal of buoys.

Any changes to charted aids to navigation will be communicated by further notice.

On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the

works will be marked as per IALA standards.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution while works are being undertaken

and at a speed of 5 knots or less in the vicinity of the works.
